PPO Plus Premier plans have the best of both worlds: the same broad access to dentists in the Delta Dental Premier network, PLUS the opportunity to save even more when you visit a dentist in the Delta Dental PPO network.

A New Way To Save

We’ve established a new PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) network of dentists that have agreed to deeper discounts.  If you have a PPO Plus Premier plan and visit a dentist in the PPO network, you may have lower out-of-pocket costs.

Does My Plan Include the PPO Network?

Your ID card shows the type of Delta Dental plan you have, located under your name and effective date. 

You can also find your plan information in your online account or mobile app by looking under Benefits & Eligibility.  Or give us a call toll free at 1-877-841-1478; we’d be happy to help you.

Is My Dentist In The PPO Network?

Finding a dentist in our Premier and PPO networks is easy.  Use the Find A Dentist tool on our website or on the mobile app to search for dentists by city and network. 

Our PPO network is new and growing.  We’re working to add dentists in more towns across South Dakota every day. We would be happy to talk with your dentist about joining our PPO network. If you would like us to invite your dentist to join our network, please contact our Professional Relations team at 800-627-3961.

What If My Dentist Is In the Premier Network?

That’s great too!  Around 98% of dentists in South Dakota are members of our Premier network.  That gives you a lot of choices, and you’ll still get discounts for services.

No matter which Delta Dental network the dentist is in, you’ll get the same great advantages:

  • Lower out-of-pocket costs than if you received care from a non-participating dentist because our network dentists have agreed to accept reduces fees.
  • Delta Dental network dentists handle all claim forms and other paperwork, there is less work for you.
  • You don’t have to pay the entire bill and wait for reimbursement from Delta Dental. Instead, we pay your dentist directly and send you a notice (often referred to as EOB statement) explaining your portion of the bill.
  • No balance billing. Participating dentists agree to accept Delta Dental’s payment and patient co-insurance or deductible (if applicable) as full payment.
  • Local Customer Service. Call our customer service center at 1-877-841-1478, Monday through Friday from 8 am – 5 pm (CT). We’re happy to help.
