Teeth on the Go
Teachers can play an important role in helping children develop good
dental health habits. Teeth-on-the-Go is an educational program for
kindergarten through second grade that provides teachers the tools and
resources to achieve this important goal. It's available for loan free of
charge. Endorsed by the South Dakota Dental Association, Teeth-on the-Go
focuses on the importance of teeth to a child's health, the impact of
nutrition on teeth, and proper oral hygiene and toothbrushing habits.
The Teeth-on-the-Go kit includes a variety of visual and audio tools to
aid teachers in providing lessons in good dental habits. Inside the kit

| These learning tools provide a five-day lesson plan (15- 20
minutes per day). The Teacher's Guide outlines daily activities and
handouts to involve parents by helping them track their child's
toothbrushing habits for a week. Upon completion of the program
students earn a completion certificate from the "Tooth Fairy". |

Teeth-on-the-Go kits are loaned to teachers and dental professionals
