At Delta Dental of South Dakota, we have a Professional Services team dedicated to network dentists. Our Professional Services team works closely with network dentists, and often solicits their feedback. We communicate with network dentists in a variety of ways, including office visits, newsletters and seminars to ensure we're not only meeting, but exceeding expectations.

The Professional Services team at Delta Dental of South Dakota is committed to developing opportunities that improve the membership value we offer dentists in our network. As part of this commitment, we offer several value-added services ranging from discounts on spore testing to Language Lines Translation Services to free electronic claims submission.

The Loan Repayment for Service program is designed to help recruit new dentists and to engage new private practice dentists in treating the underserved. The program provides loan repayment for dentists who agree to see percentages of Medicaid patients in their practice and/or work with the Delta Dental's mobile program and see a smaller percentage of Medicaid patients in their practice. Delta Dental of South Dakota provides a language translation service to all participating dentists at no cost. Charges are billed directly to Delta Dental. Delta Dental of South Dakota (DDSD) has collaborated with OralCDx to enhance public and professional awareness of early detection of oral cancer. The OralCDx brush biopsy is the newest tool in the early detection of oral cancer or precancerous cells. This is a covered benefit for DDSD subscribers. For more information, click here.

P.A.N.D.A. is an acronym for Prevent Abuse and Neglect through Dental Awareness. Help educate your entire office personnel to recognize and report suspected cases of child abuse and neglect.

A spore testing service is offered at a discount to participating network dentists. Delta Dental of South Dakota participating dentists are eligible for a discount on spore testing through Spore-Wise Sterilization Monitoring Service, a professional service of Steri Check Systems, Inc. Monitoring can be done weekly, bi-weekly or monthly and can be used to monitor steam, chemical vapor, dry heat or ethylene oxide gas sterilizers.
