About the Fund
In 1997, Delta Dental of South Dakota created the Delta Dental Philanthropic Fund, a 501(c)(3) charitable affiliate, to support Delta Dental of South Dakota's oral health mission. Today, we are commiting roughly $1.5 million annually toward oral health causes.

Vision / Mission
Our vision says that everyone deserves good oral health. Our mission: to initiate, collaborate and/or support programs that increase access to care, ensure an adequate dental workforce and prevent dental disease.

2010 Oral Health Initiative
Delta Dental of South Dakota's 2010 Initiative will be directed toward interventions that can effect significant change in identified oral health issues with the primary goal being disease prevention. Efforts will be made to maximize South Dakota's dental workforce capabilities, to increase access to dental care and to greatly expand oral health education and prevention efforts to both targeted audiences and the general public.

Delta Dental of South Dakota is a leading force for improving oral health in South Dakota. Our Philanthropic Fund staff advises and actively participates with the following organizations to influence oral health for all South Dakotans, particularly the children.
